Apprentice Junior Developer

← All open roles

Full timeRemote, UK, EU, or US

Entry level developer to accelerate the build alongside our lead developer. You do not need years of experience. You need to already build with AI every day and be desperate to get good fast.

About the role

This is an apprentice role. You will pair with our lead developer on the 1Close product: the workspace shell, deal surfaces, integrations, and marketing pages. The goal is to add hands so we ship features faster, while you level up quickly on a real codebase.

You do not need a long CV. You need to be cheap to onboard because you learn fast, already lean on AI to punch above your experience, and take ownership of small features end to end. Core coaching logic is proprietary and founder owned. You build the surfaces, data layer, and integrations users interact with every day.

What you'll do

  • Take small, well scoped features and ship them with guidance from the lead developer
  • Build and refine React and Next.js UI in the workspace and marketing site
  • Work with Supabase via our typed data layer. No raw SQL in app code
  • Fix bugs, tidy code, and keep the design system consistent
  • Learn our patterns fast and use AI to move quicker each week

What we're looking for

  • You already build with an AI IDE like Cursor and use AI in your workflow every day. This is a hard requirement
  • Some coding ability in TypeScript and React, from side projects, a bootcamp, or self teaching. Formal experience not required
  • Hungry to learn and get good fast. You ship, take feedback, and come back better
  • Comfortable reading existing code and matching conventions before inventing your own
  • Clear written communication in a fully remote team
  • Right to work in the UK, EU, or US with timezone overlap for pairing

Nice to have

  • Next.js App Router or Supabase familiarity
  • A side project or repo you can show us, however small
  • Exposure to chat interfaces or streaming UI
  • Design sensibility. You notice when spacing or copy feels off
